This guide includes online reference sources that Corgan Library makes available only to students, faculty, and staff of King's College.  Please check the other King's Research Guides for more detailed information on specific courses, subjects, and assignments, including links to databases, print and online reference sources, free Internet sources, and selected books.

Princeton University Library's Online Reference Shelf lists several free Internet resources on a variety of topics.

      An online reference for all major scientific disciplines. Encompassing the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology and the McGraw-Hill Yearbook of Science and Technology, it includes thousands of articles and Research Reviews.
    • America: History & Life with Full Text
      Full text articles on the history and culture of the U.S. and Canada.
    • Books in Print
      Lists titles from North American publishers.
    • Cabell’s Directories
      Cabell’s directories provide information on publishing guidelines, acceptance rates, and current contact information for academic journals in the fields of Accounting, Economics & Finance, Management, and Marketing.
    • Catholic Periodical and Literature Index
      Catholic book, journal, and document index.
    • CCH Database
      Federal and State tax information service.
    • CINAHL with Full Text
      Indexes nursing and allied health journals; provides full text articles for many titles.
    • Criminal Justice Periodical Index
      Indexes journals on crime and deterrence and includes many full text articles.
    • ERIC
      Indexes educational journal articles (EJ) and documents (ED).
    • GreenFILE
      Provides indexing and abstracts for more than 612,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 9,000 articles on topics such as global climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and recycling.
    • Historical New York Times
      Searchable full text and full image content of the New York Times from 1851-2008.
    • Ingenta
      Comprehensive index for multiple subjects. Articles may be ordered online.
    • Kraus Curriculum Development Library (kcdlonline)

      Full text newspapers, business and legal resources, reference information.

    • Mergent Online
      Full text information for U.S. and international publicly-traded companies.
    • MLA Directory of Periodicals
      Detailed information on journals.
    • MLA International Bibliography
      Index to research in literature and related fields.
    • Newspaper Source
      Full text articles from selected regional, national, and international newspapers and other news sources.
    • Philosopher's Index
      Indexes books and journals in philosophy and related fields.
    • PsycINFO
      American Psychological Association index to research in psychology and related fields.
    • PubMed/Medline
      National Library of Medicine index to medical and biomedical research.
    • Salem Literature
      The Salem Literature database provides electronic access to the complete content of printed reference books. Currently, King's has access to Magill's Literary Annual 2013 and Critical Survey of Graphic Novels: History, Theme, & Technique.
    • Scifinder
      Published by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), SciFinder is the most comprehensive and authoritative tool for research in chemistry and related sciences.
    • SPORTDiscus with Full Text
      Indexes sports and sports medicine journals and provides full text articles for hundreds of titles.
    • Value Line Investment Survey Online
      Comprehensive information on stocks, the stock market, industries and the economy.
